The Best: Jet-setting around the world. Five star hotels and restaurants. Town cars to transport me to and fro. Star laden events, premieres. Executive level meetings in 17 countries around the world. London, Paris, Rome, Madrid, Stockholm, Barcelona, Tokyo, Sydney…………………………. World-class museums and art galleries. Castles, cathredrals, Broadway, The West End. A bird’s eye view of the mountains, valleys, rivers and oceans of this magnificent earth from a small oval window on airlines A, B and C. The Worst: Existing in places out-of-time, and space, with my loved ones. “Oh, this is amazing, incredible! I must call Jennifer (my daughter), and share with her all the wonder I am experiencing.” Check my watch. I am in London. It is noon. Let’s see, that makes it, ah…. ah… 4 AM in Reno. Guess not, no call now. “I have made it! I have climbed to the top of the Sydney Harbor Bridge!! I want to share this accomplishment with Jennifer!” Check my watch. It’s 6 PM. Let’s see, I believe that makes it ah… ah… (never really been proficient in math), 1 AM - yesterday, Nevada time. Put the cell phone away. All day, meeting after meeting. Negotiating cobblestone streets in my Jimmy Choos. I need a hug. How about approaching that attractive, all-be-it, stranger, sitting at this quaint street side café? Ah, no, this is Paris and I am an American. Probably a not-so-inspired idea. Walk on. There is a Spa at my hotel. The next best thing to a hug by a loved one, the Cell-U-Less Hungarian Mud Treatment in a world class spa! Well, we do have to “make do”, don’t we? First Class, Quantas Flight 1006, 37,000 feet. I pull out the Palm Pilot for what is next. Tokyo. Then it happened. I felt a bullet pierce my heart. Tears welled in my eyes. The breath was violently expelled from my lungs. Visions were rocketing through my brain. I see my granddaughter, in a black cap and gown, crossing a stage, hand held out to receive her diploma. Seconds later my logical brain is telling me, “Taylor is one year old”. Which is true, where am I? Breathe, just breathe. It was the moment that changed my life, my world. My subconscious pulled the trigger. The awareness that if I kept on living the life I was living, it would be at the incalculable expense of missing it all, not being a part of my granddaughter’s formative years, her growth as a unique being, moving through this precious existence. Since that “Epiphany on the Plane”, the undeniable Law of Attraction has been manifesting in my life. I now live in peace and gratitude, outside of Reno, 1.2 miles from my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. I am a BraveHeart Woman, part of something bigger than myself, and have the privilege to be in the best, and only place, I could possibly be at this point; an empowered women entrepreneur, fortunate to be a special component of an unbelievable group of remarkable women who are making an indelible impact on the world, my granddaughter’s future world. Been hit by a bullet recently? I encourage you to listen to that voice within your heart. Be bold! Join me. Take action to change your life today if you know that is what you must do to live your purpose. By the way, I no longer have to “make do”. The “Best of Times” are now!
