My own contact lens experience – part 2

I thought I should tell you about my own experience with contact lenses. As you can imagine, I was really frightened when I heard about them. I don’t know why, but sticking something in my eyes didn’t offer me too much confidence. I preferred to wear glasses, I thought them much more safer. The problem was they were getting dirty much to fast, they were troubling me at my work and they were always slipping out of my nose. So, I took heart and I went for advices for contact lenses. It didn’t take too much to decide to replace glasses with contact lenses.

I went to an eye care doctor to get my prescription and to ask for a good company of contact lenses. He recommended some, and one of them was Ciba Vision. He told me that he as a doctor would use Ciba contact lenses, because they have the nest quality.It was a new experience for me, but I didn’t go back. I was decided to renounce at glasses. I had given attention to all the doctors’ instructions, so I can manage by myself with putting in and removing them. The first days with lenses wasn’t that comfortable that I was expecting, but I knew that my eyes have to get used with them, and for that there are necessary from 7 to 10 days. Having something in my eyes hadn’t offered me a great pleasure, so I was beginning to believe that I didn’t make the best choice.

All the people around me were telling me that I look much better without glasses, but that didn’t made me to feel better. I start asking other people who were wearing contact lenses, to see if I’m the only who has this opinion. I was amazed to find out that were many that had bigger problems at the beginning, with putting and removing the lenses. Some of them were close to faint, so I thought myself to be a lucky person.

I got over this fear that something was wrong after 15 days I think, and since then I’m enjoying my contact lenses. I don’t have to clean them every 30 minutes, or to raise them every time they slip out of my nose. Now I even use colored contact lenses that correct eyesight problems too, to surprise people around me. It’s amazing how a pair of lenses can change your life, your attitude.

I clean them with attention, I respect all the instructions and I can say that I have never had a problem in all these years, since I wear contact lenses. There is not even one person that has no doubts at the beginning in what concerns contact lenses. The problem is how you get rid of them. You have to impose yourself that you’ll succeed, and like this you’ll pass one of the problems. It’s how I did and as you can read from this, I am one happy contact lenses wearer, who enjoys all their advantages.
